The Music of a Poem is like a Bird's Secret

  after J. G. V.

The music of a poem is

Like a bird's secret,
It seeks to hide in my ears.

It's like a flowering bride
That kneels before a rose.

It's like a brightness moving
That holds wisdom.

It's as magical as the luminance
Of God's humbling smile.

  2. Such excellent comparisons, Kelvin. I especially liked the very first couplet - a bird's secret seeking to hide in your ears. That image certainly works for me. And the ending...another gem. As Gabriella said, you ARE such a good poet!

  22. Hi Kelvin, I came to your blog looking for a new poem...really, I think you are such a fine poet; and I always look forward to what you write. Yes, your poem can be read several times, each time a new meaning. If I were to express which stanza in this poem I liked best, it would be the last one. Smiles. I like to think of God's smile!
